Welcome
Aboard to the fun and adventure of Sea Scouting!
You
have found the home page of Sea Scout Ship Arcturus (46) a member
of the National Sea Scout movement, based in Westover, West Virginia.
Whether
you look to the sea for a career or lifelong hobby, Sea Scouting
could be for you.
Sea
Scouting is a co-educational program for young adults
between the ages of 14 and 21. Sea Scouting is organized to promote
better citizenship and to improve members' boating skills and
knowledge through instruction and practice in water safety, boating
skills, outdoor, social, and service experiences, and knowledge
of our maritime heritage. Sea Scouting happens on, in and under
the water.
We
are also involved in recreational boating, marine science, scuba
diving, and/or maritime careers. Sea Scouting offers the challenge
and excitement of the Sea— sailing, navigation, safety, communications,
mechanics, weather, piloting, and much more. Sea Scouting is an
adventure on both land and sea!
Welcome

of the activities that members of Ship 46 enjoy and hopefully
answer any questions you may have.
In our site you can check out our Photo
Gallery and Long
