Each year Scouts from several Ships gather together to make new friends and compete in various events such as Knot Tying, Navigation, Swimming, and other events that test a Sea Scouts nautical skills.  These gatherings are called Sea Scout Regattas.  The Eastern Region annually holds a Regatta named after the Skipper who initiated it, Mr. Henry Nygaard.  For several years  Ship 46 has attended the Nygaard Regatta near the Chesapeake Bay and always gives the other ships some stiff competition.  The Ship  has placed in several Regattas (see the Awards page) but always has a good time.
